Olive Wood Pasterkamp
For many years now, and currently in the second generation, we have been creating high-quality and aesthetically refined products from the unique wood of the olive tree (Olea europaea).
The “roots” of our work lie in the sculpture studio of my father (Curd Wilh. Jost-Pasterkamp, 1927–2000). As early as 1954, he was probably the first craftsman in Germany to work with olive wood — a material that was quite rare at the time — transforming it into artistic rustic bowls, serving platters, unique furniture pieces, and free sculptural objects.
He recognized the remarkable potential of this unique material very early on, as well as the opportunities to present and distribute these works through international trade fairs.

Solid craftsmanship since 1954
"Made in Germany".
We manufacture our products in our own workshop using ancient olive wood. The olive tree (Olea europaea), alongside the grapevine, is one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. Olive wood is rare and valuable, which is why we treat this exceptional natural material with great responsibility. Olive trees can easily be harvested for more than 250 years. The slow growth of the wood is responsible for its remarkable hardness and its unique, expressive grain.
Hygienically safe products, certified multiple times.
As a manufacturing and producing company, we are certified by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Niederrhein). Our products have been recognized by independent institutions. Through our special finishing technique – the oil polishing process – combined with our self-developed care products, we provide proof of quality through a number of certificates, including the demanding LFGB food safety test seal.
